PLOT: In order to get out of doing his prison work duties, R.P. McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) convinces the guards that he is insane. They order him to the asylum. Upon his arrival at the mental institution, he establishes himself as a brash rebel and he rallies the patients together to take on the oppressive Nurse Ratched (Louise Fletcher), a woman who is more a dictator than a nurse.
