Affiliate Programs - How to Earn Money From Your Website:
Also referred to as associate programs, affiliate programs are
referral programs set up by online merchants as a way to attract visitors
and sales. Basically, you post links to the affiliate merchant's products,
redirecting visitors to their site. If a visitor who has come from
your site makes a purchase, then you receive a commission on the sale.
Movie Related Affiliate Programs Used By ChasingtheFrog:
The following are reviews of movie related associate programs
that we have joined and currently earn commissions from. We have found
success from all of them:
AllPosters
- AllPosters runs one of the best movie affiliate programs on
the web. You earn a base commission of 25%, and based on your sales,
you have the potential to earn up to 30%. Higher referral rates are
also sometimes implemented during the holidays. If the visitor decides
to purchase within 10 days of their last visit from your website,
you'll still earn commission on the sale. AllPosters affiliate program
itself is one of the most functional on the web, especially after
their 2003 program revision, which included the addition of dynamic
poster stores and an xml products feed. The dynamic poster stores
help to easily integrate their products into your website.

T-ShirtKing
- In 2005, T-ShirtKing began selling its shirts on AllPosters.com.
The affiliate program at T-ShirtKing disbanded, but the good news is that you
can now sell their shirts through your AllPosters.com associate program account, and you can earn more
than double the commissions that T-ShirtKing once paid. The shirts at AllPosters offer webmasters
the chance to earn referral revenue on a large selection of novelty t-shirts,
including movie t-shirts and tv t-shirts. Such items can add a little
variety to your associate related products, sometimes just enough
to catch the attention of your visitors. The program pays no less than 25% commission
on sales that originate from your website.

Amazon
- With such a large selection of products, including dvds, Amazon's
affiliate program is one of the most popular on the web. Of course,
this is despite its meager 5% commission rate. Commission varies per
item, and items sold through one of the marketplace sellers will only
give you a 2.5% commission. To calm upset associates, Amazon has introduced
a tiered plan to give you the option of earning a little more if you
generate a lot of sales. The conditions of the tiered plan are sometimes
not worth it, so be careful before opting in. However, they are improving
the requirements of the plan.

Our Advice:
In the end, associate programs are great ways to earn a few extra
bucks from your website. It takes time to learn how to maximize your
site's sales, so be patient. A select few affiliates become extremely
successful. My advice would be to focus on your site's content and
get traffic to your site. Leave room in mind for the products you
want to sell, and find products that are directly related to your
site's content. My movie affiliate programs work well for me with
the potential to work a lot better, even though I'm presently happy
with my sales. Good luck with whatever programs you choose.
